Beaches
Good info (from Joseph) - Please enjoy our beaches, directions below.
"Little Beach"
“Little Beach” – “it’s right down the street.” Permit - East Hampton (EH) “Drive on” Blue Sticker. Take a right on East Lake Drive. It will be on the left. You can drive the Chevy right on the beach or park by garbage can. Good clamming at low tide. Good place for Kayak / SUP.
Montauk County Park
“Montauk County Park”- Also a right on East Lake Drive - Past the Airport on the right. Permit – Suffolk County Off Road. Just wave at the people in the gate house. Go straight through “the cut”. Take a right when you hit the beach . Good surf cast fishing, mellow beach, kayak, SUP.
Gin Beach
Gin Beach – Also a right on East Lake - go to the end of the road. EH beach permit. Good for sunsets and walks on the rocks. You can drive onto this beach after 6pm.
Ditch Plains
Ditch Plains - Surfing Beach - three lots - “Dirt Lot”, “East Deck Lot”, and “Family Lot”. EH beach permit.
Camp Hero Lot
Camp Hero Lot – Head towards Light House - State Park - fee per use after 8 am till 4pm
Lighthouse
Lighthouse – just past Camp Hero – same fee as Hero
Hither Hills - 4x4 Beach
Hither Hills – 4x4 Beach- Use NY State Permit. Head out of town (West). After you pass Old Mtk highway for the second time it is the sandy road on the left. (There is a sign). MUST AIR DOWN TIRES to 23 psi. Ok to drive home on 23 psi and refill tires back at the house.
